Emmanuel Atamba is a food and farming systems expert with over 8 years of experience. Mr. Atamba’s experience cuts across the design and implementation of both private-sector business concepts and enterprises as well as civil society, and public-sector interventions. Key areas of strength include advocacy strategy development and implementation, communication for development, project design, implementation, MEAL, research, and dissemination strategies. Mr. Atamba has worked with other organizations: CEFA, Agriprocity, Wefarm, Standard Media Group, Justdiggit Foundation, and the Heinrich Boll Foundation in different capacities.

Felix Mwangala Jomo
Felix Mwangala Jomo is a Research Associate at Apsid. He has a strong interest in climate-resilient solutions for rural agricultural development. He was a Territory Manager at Advanta Seeds International for 13 months (July 2020 – August 2021). Handled go-to-market strategy for East and South Eastern Africa. Research and development for forages, horticultural crops, and cereals
Before this, Felix held the position of a Market Development Agronomist, at Yara Fertilizers. Felix occupied this role from January 2020 – July 2020. He managed crop nutrition for crop demonstration centers of excellence across the East African ecosystem. Previously, Felix held the position of Seeds Market Development Agronomist, at Seminis and Elgon Kenya Ltd. Felix held this role for 27 months (2017-2018 – January 2020 respectively). Developed farmer manuals for crops, and market strategy for the seeds portfolio.
He holds a BSc in Agriculture (Agricultural Economics major).

James Karani
My name is James Alex, and I am an agricultural and food security expert with over five years of experience providing solutions to Farmers and Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs) worldwide. I have studied food, livestock, and fisheries production at the post-graduate level in Israel and the United States, delving deeply into research, sustainability, and climate-smart agriculture. I have worked on projects focusing on irrigation, food production, women’s participation in agriculture, and climate change locally (Kenya ) and in other African countries.
My goal is to build more sustainable food production and cost-effective systems, adding value to agricultural products in our African communities and helping countries adapt to climate change. Atsiaya Obwina Godfrey is finalizing a PhD in Agricultural economics and holds an MSc in Agricultural Economics and a BSc. Agribusiness Management from Egerton University. He has over five years of experience in agricultural-based research, with areas of interest spanning from, climate-smart technologies, the role of market innovation in inclusive and sustainable smallholder agriculture, transitioning agri-food systems in sub-Sahara Africa, agri-value chains development, sustainable rural development, and livelihoods assessment. Atsiaya has experience in data management including data cleaning and analysis using STATA and SPSS econometric software and knowledge dissemination.

CALEB MBAYAKI is currently the Lead soil scientist at APSID Consulting Company Limited.
Having versatile experience in his field of practice, Caleb does research, conducts training and
consultancies on Sustainable and Organic Agriculture, Irrigation, Crop and Water Management,
Water and Soil Science soil.
Experience wise, he has developed agrometeorological irrigation schedules on crop production
and climate coping strategies for the arid and semi-arid areas of Kenya.
Caleb Holds a Masters’s degree in Land and water management, a bachelor of science degree in
Agriculture (soil science option) from the University of Nairobi.

I am a community-led professional agronomist experienced in crop production, community mobilization, and management with hands-on experience. I completed my Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture from the University of Nairobi and a Certificate Course in Agribusiness Management at Miramar International College.

Sharon Cherobon
I’m a farmer, marketer, and food security champion. A graduate of the University of Nairobi, I have constantly involved myself with agriculture and matters SDGs since my first years in school. I’m a co-founder of Mama Mboga Ke, a community-based organization based in Nandi. Through the organization, I’ve been able to both practice farming and teach the women of Chemase about achieving food security through the utilization of indigenous vegetables. I also social media as a tool to advocate for Agriculture as a career option.

Felix Atamba is a University of Nairobi BSc agriculture student. He completed training at the University of Nairobi in agroecology and agrobiodiversity course. He conducted a project with the Millennium Fellowship 2022’s theme of Agriculture and Food Systems. He has experience as a freelance author, community coordinator, and project manager.

Jacobin Baraka
Jacobin Baraka is a Scientist, Certified Counsellor, and Teacher.
He has pursued a Bachelor of Science in Biology (UoN), a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (KU), a Certificate in Counselling (UoN), and trained in Agroecology and Agrobiodiversity (UoN).
He has taught in three schools, including Pangani Girls’ School, and carried out farm extension and field work under APSID consultancy. He’s a farmer and also runs an online a shoe business.
He’s defined as a team player, honest, accountable, organized, and self-driven in all the tasks assigned to him.
